Label manager of Strong Island Recordings / Sometimes write words about music / Put on shows / Do other stuff / Sadly also a Pompey fan All opinions are my own and are mostly stupid. Portsmouth, UK

Wasn't really a whole lot of anything in that first half from Pompey, but alas, it's about fitness and getting the whole squad used to Mousinho's game plan for the coming season, so it is what it is. It's just nice to watch my club again, really.

Red Dead 2 is the greatest piece of art ever made, so I guess as surprising as it is to see it there, it makes sense to be at the best festival. Hoping for a high honour playthrough. Lots of praising and patting dogs. Lots of telling the horse they're good. I will be fuming with anything less.

The EOTR cinema lineup is here, as usual bringing a masterclass in celluloid selection. Presented with @film.curzon.com, this year’s slate is curated by Margeaux Labat, Ben Wheatley & Andy Starke, Invada Records, and Andrea Arnold. Expect folk horror, a Charli xcx volcano movie, Q&As and more

Last night's England v France game might have meant little, and the result wouldn't have been the same with real jeopardy, but putting 6 past France and without Kane is still something. It helps ease the worry of 'life without Harry Kane'.

West Ham v Pompey tickets sorted. Any London promoters/acts on here, are there any shows (pref east) going on that evening? As ever, I will try and fit something in.
