From a protest at Philadelphia City Hall - a first for an AIDS ride, anywhere - to our closing ceremony in NYC, last weekend was 175 miles of determination and joy. We’re grateful for every rider and crew member who made this possible to the tune of $420,000 raised for @housingworksnyc.bsky.social.
In just three days, we marched through the streets of Philadelphia, rode almost 200 miles in red dresses, and raised $420,000 to champion @housingworksnyc.bsky.social in their tireless effort to end AIDS and homelessness. We hope you had a spectacularly transformative weekend!

Social media is great for thanking people, going live after a training ride, or promoting an in-person fundraiser you’re hosting. It’s perfect for one last ask in September. Use this week’s tips to kick start your fundraising and don’t hesitate to reach out to your Rider Coach with any questions.
Fundraising can feel intimidating, but you’ll be surprised by how many people want to support a cause you care about. You won’t catch donations from everyone who wants to support, so follow up! Mix it up with your follow up emails; the shorter, the better.
Before you hit the road, take a moment to set yourself up for fundraising success. Plan how you will reach out to the people in your network, as your fundraising email is your “foot in the door”. Include what you’re doing (don’t be shy), why you’re doing it, and where the money goes.
Looking for some quick fundraising tips? We’ve got you covered! Tip #1: Ask everyone you know. Everyone! Create a spreadsheet with all their contact information. Then follow along this week to learn our best tips for flying past your fundraising goals long before October.
Meet our beneficiary’s very own rider team! Kings of the Road features staff, clients, and all-around @housingworksnyc.bsky.social supporters. To join their team, all you have to do is champion their efforts! Register to be on Team Kings of the Road at give.housingworks.org/team/831985.
