I hope MNUFC approaches Jesse Marsch while he's in town and just finds out his price for the CSO/Coach role. Doubtful anything would happen, Marsch seems to be enjoying the Canada gig, but you at least got to find out. Yea?

Hot take: Bars, theaters, and stadiums should sell high quality coffee and tea, especially since coffee shops close early. I'm a tea drinker, I prefer it iced and brewed. It's not good out of the soda fountain or bottle. Decaf is nice at night. Would 10/10 overpay.
It isn’t new information, but looking around at the crowd last night at TMBG really put into stark relief the challenges that clubs and breweries face. It was a sold-out show with essentially zero lines at the bars at any time, and from my vantage, maybe—*maybe*—10% of attendees had a drink in hand.
Eastbound B Line bus is becoming really unreliable. Like 20-25min between busses. Westbound starting in STP, on time, every 10-15min.
The Midway Menards offered me a magic carpet ride on my visit. Magical.
I never noticed the Bathrobe Lady that February morning. A friend recently asked me, with State Fair Crop Art on his mind, if I had a photo of the photographer taking the photo. It turns out I was taking a video at the exact moment the iconic photo was taken by @leilanavidi.bsky.social 1/3
No Child Left Behind has left an entire generation of students, behind.
Since I keep getting texts from Klobochar about supporting the "Protect College Sports Act" I offer the following HOT TAKE: College sports and universities should get a divorce. Get Pro Sports out of learning institutions. Student run club activities only.... Release education from the burden.
SPOILER! I have Silo S3 thoughts and I'm afraid of spoiling. Sorry. Last 2 episodes it became clear the show is underground Star Wars. Boring prequel featuring a romance with an unconvincing male lead. There's a Death Star. A Ragtag group of Rebels led by a Leia-type. (Relation above s4)
Even hotter take: ban personal vehicle parking on the fairgrounds during the Fair, use current parking space to build a giant building for crop art and expand bike parking. I might go then. Ha! bsky.app/profile/john...
Hot take: Crop Art has outgrown the State Fair. The MIA, Walker, or MNHS should be lining up to host a 6-8 week crop art exhibit. Or it becomes MNs best roadside attraction, ala the Corn Palace.

I have a huge favor to ask, can you all help me start a company named The blipblorpX Group? I plan to use my accumen to change the world through synergy. TBH, I just want to buy ALL the sports teams and sell them two years later when we IPO and/or face a Federal audit. Great, thanks.
Saw two Waymos on West River Parkway in MPLS while on my bike ride into work this morning Sigh. "Drivers" in the front seat wearing hi-res vests. When I first saw it, I thought it was the Google Maps car.
Is this the week sports have jumped the shark. 😭😅 Bezos buys stake in Liverpool Kushner buys Lakers This photo represents it all.
only now realizing the field of dreams game happened and this is all so unbelievably stupid
Add AZ to the CR17 list of players that should still be on the Loons. I remember being so frustrated that Heath played CDM Dotson at left winger when AZ showed a lot of promise. Like, just play this AZ kid, see what he's got. At worst he's a rotation piece. MLS teams need players like this.
News brief: Former #MNUFC player AZ Jackson returns to #Loons on loan through 2026 season, a @pioneerpress.bsky.social source said Wednesday. www.twincities.com/2026/08/13/f...
Voted this morning. US election cycles are too long and too expensive. Healthy democracies would fix this.
I rode RAGBRAI last week! The new MN flag makes for an awesome bike kit and made it so easy to spot folks and start conversations with fellow MN riders throughout the ride. Met some cool people. Fun Ride. AMA!
What if, due to rising sea levels, the French Quarter is relocated to the gigantic surface lot on 1st Ave and 5th St? Ha! On a serious note, pedestrianizing that street makes a ton of sense but that lot needs to be built on for it to really work.

Not surprising considering the English Premier League also stole our best in the world set pieces. #MNUFC
did England steal the playing Wonderwall after a win from Minnesota United? #COYL
Montreal #2 Also, every July there's a free Cirque in a few parks every evening with closed down streets. My oldest was concerned there's no mat.
I'm in Montreal and you can just ride your bike around an F1 track. I passed some people on bike shares and some people passed me on 10k bikes. Its the best city in North America for bike riding. Bikes own this town.

Portugal has too much talent to be this boring. If I'm Pep Guardiola, this is the national team I'd take over.
The World Cup is a party and the American broadcasters show up with their flag pins.
England singing Wonderwall after wins and Mr Brightside often creates an awkward feeling for this MNUFC fan.
MSP road cyclists what are your preferred hilly routes (2k+ elevation over 40-50 miles)? Where can I find rollers and feel safe from traffic? The first two days of RAGBRAI are 3k+ elevation!!! No joke.
Naz/LaMelo trade summed up: 🐝 Hornets receive: - A local cult Indie musician with a lot of range only played regularly in The Current's rotation. 🐺 Wolves receive: - Viral pop musician who relies on autotune that the kids really enjoy 6️⃣ 7️⃣
MNUFC supporters, instead of rowing a boat, what if we collectively shrugged and said "Ope!"?

The stadium in Foxborough, MA is the worst looking one in the US, even with a grass pitch. Spectators are 3 miles away and there's that weird gap/walkway where seats should be behind the goal and gaps in the mid-deck too. It's odd for the NFL too. I don't understand the design.
I didn't realize Italy made the World Cup as part of Australia.
USMNT hot take: McKennie and Adams will make very good studio TV talking heads after they retire. Pulisic will become an underrated color commentator, but stink up the studio.
I'm so glad the Loons signed James, it was fun.
Captaining Colombia is “Minnesota United player” James Rodriguez
