However, their understanding of evolution is much closer to Lamarck’s; a load of horseshit.

The thing I find absolutely galling about this is talking about the left as “illiberal” when in reality I think most are about as far-left as Mamdani, which is hardly illiberal (he participated and won an election fair and square without saying it should be torn down).

I feel that AI has finally done what most in the capitalist class have wanted for a long time. Rather than just changing the worker’s or consumer’s relation to labor, they finally have machines that can change (or at the very least influence) the worker/consumer themselves.

It's the same with "AI" chatbots, and how whatever information you might be able to glean from them is invariably tainted by the biases of the creators of those algorithms; see Musk's Grok and how he's tuning it to be "less woke" and more in fitting with his biases and prejudices. That's the ick.
