Mirann Gacioch has resigned with #RacingLou. I think this is going to be a very underrated signing. Gacioch has had a solid rookie season and gotten better as the season went along. She is also a needed bit of youth on an aging back line. Could be a solid long term CB option for Louisville #NWSL

Two more years of Mirn 🤗 We've signed rookie defender Mirann Gacioch to a new contract through the end of the 2028 season! 💜 tinyurl.com/2evkuzcs

#RacingLou transfers Ella Hase to North Carolina for $35k in intraleague transfer funs. Hase has signed a deal with NCC through the 2029 season. Very similar move to when Racing acquired Makenna Morris last year prior to signing her to a contract extension.

#NWSL NEWS: Savannah DeMelo has signed a new contract with Racing Louisville FC through 2027 (club option for 2028). She is available to play Saturday for the first time in a year after an on-field cardiac event. DeMelo is also suing UofL Health for failure to diagnose the condition.

Interesting new #NWSL player development mechanism that could help teams with less liquid assets remain competitive through salary cap relief and rewards for identifying and developing youth players. It will be two years before teams can fully realize the potential of this rule.

SOURCES: The #NWSL has implemented a new player development rule (PDR) allowing teams to ID youth players and shape their development. If the player eventually signs in #NWSL, that team gets significant salary cap relief through their 23rd birthday. Signings could start in 2028. More on @espn.com:

#RacingLou Head Coach Bev Yanez after Racing's 2-0 loss to Bay: "We cant stop, we have to continue, and we have to keep fighting." "We haven't had a good season. We know that. We're aware of that" Lots of discussion about mental attitude and how they want to be viewed and view themselves. #NWSL
