Moving beyond the threat of poverty doesn't somehow end meaning. It's outgrowing our economic infancy.

Here is the Reddit Victoria thread that’s only 2 hours old about the Island Deaf & Hard of Hearing’s announcement that #YYJ and Nanaimo are losing their only non-profit hearing resources on Vancouver Island, as well as the only place for ASL, on Monday. Thanks to funding cuts by @davidebybc.bsky.social and the @bcnewdemocrats.bsky.social, the deaf & hearing-impaired people of Vancouver Island have lost our only non-profit hearing resource. Now, we will have to pay hundreds more for just appointments each year. Free counselling and advocacy? NOPE.
