Every frame holds a story, and every journey brings joy. Capturing culture, rhythm, and connection under the night sky makes me truly grateful. The journey behind every lens, discovering new places, people, and stories that stay long after the shot is taken. Captured in South Africa ☺️

Some moments remind you why you love photography. It’s not just about the shot, it’s about being there, feeling the wild, and learning from Mother Nature. I’m already excited to get back to Africa in 2027. Can’t wait to see what Mother Nature has waiting for me. #wildlife #safari #africa

I’ve never felt so alive and so small. This is the kind of moment that makes you fall in love with Africa all over again. Feeling incredibly lucky and already excited for the next adventure. Chobe, Khwai & Moremi in 2027… I can’t wait. Who’s been, and who’s still dreaming of Africa? #Safari

Family moments at the water’s edge. A scene of care and connection. Did you know? Elephants can recognise themselves in mirrors—the only land animal besides humans with this ability. Also, an elephant’s memory is so strong they can remember waterholes and migration routes for decades. #elephant

Moments like this never get old. That’s the magic of Botswana, you can watch the same wild landscape day after day and still find yourself completely captivated. Whether you come for the adventure, the wildlife, or the photography, these are the moments that stay with you long after you’ve left. ☺️

My biggest oil painting done “en plein air” on location from real life. Tried to emulate my little one I did the other day. Starting to find my groove I think - maybe?

New youtube video is live: youtu.be/NRR8qdkixsw I tell the story behind one of my most special photographs. I got out of the safari vehicle, knelt down in the wet sand next to a waterhole, and photographed two lions from below eye level — right after they'd finished a kill.

Been reviewing my photos from Botswana (Okavango delta) as we plan the next trip for July next year and I'd forgotten how many great images I had taken. I've got some new ones to share plus stories - my good friend Johny has been editing some of these shots. Videos to follow soon. Painted dog...

Went back to our Tiny house today to paint this amazing tree on the property. Not sure if my painting is improving but I'm enjoying the process and I guess that's all that matters right? Oil paints on cavas, outdoors on my home-made pochade box.

Been working really hard on this tool to help photographers improve - taught on more than 4000 critiques I've given my Photo BootCamp members. Check it out, try it, have fun. photocritique.app Checkout the gallery section where users can publish their image and their critique. Please share. Brent

Using my 25mm lens, a remote-controlled camera, and a shutter speed of 1/500 sec at f/8, I managed to focus on a single Rainbow Lorikeet in the foreground while letting a cascade of vibrant colour fill the background. It’s all about finding that perfect balance—what do you think of the result?

Shot on a peaceful new moon night while camping on a farm with my wife. I moved down the ridge to frame the clear sky, mountain peak, and our campfire. After testing different ISOs, this one was the winner. What do you think? Let me see your favourite way to capture the night sky in the comment?
