For Castillo, M's get a solid and experienced reliever, a 28-year-old former top prospect who hasn't played in the bigs this year, and a very interesting C/OF prospect who has been promoted twice this year and showing pop in Double-A. Boston Smith is ranked 15th in the White Sox system by Pipeline.

Made reference to the Vedder Cup in a story today, which got some comments. It remains amazing to me those that hate it because it doesn't make sense, not realizing that's the joke! And it's such a good joke. It's art imitating life. It could not represent the Mariners-Padres rivalry more perfectly.
