Lindy Ruff said Carrick and Danforth getting checked out. Carrick’s issue is mid-body but possibly related to last year’s injury. He’s hopeful on Lyon to be part of the upcoming trip but unsure. Timmins light skating but not practicing yet.

Practice lines today looking very much like yesterday Doan-Kulich-Thompson Benson-Östlund-Quinn Zucker-Norris-Helenius Krebs-McLeod-Malenstyn Samuelsson-Dahlin Zellweger-Power Gilbert/Metsa/Crevier Kozak rotated on D. No Carrick or Danforth.
Cautionary note to Hellebuyck-stans: The All-Rookie goalie from 2021-22 has had a good career. -In 2022-23, split the Jennings Trophy for lowest GAA with his partner. In-2023-24, both he (7th) & his partner (6th) got Vezina votes.
Are “they” starting to get it? The whole point of social media is to keep you stuck looking at social media all day, so they can charge companies for ads on social media. But, what if your ad requires someone to get off their phone and go DO something to be effective?

Bills CJ Gardner-Johnson suspended by NFL for Week 8 game vs. Ravens.
They’re still down Timmins & Lyon, but they’re getting there… The lineup on the ice is looking more like the lineup as conceived.
Lines this morning: Kulich-Thompson-Doan Benson-Östlund-Quinn Zucker-Norris-Helenius McLeod-Krebs-Malenstyn Samuelsson-Dahlin Zellweger-Power Metsa-Carrick Gilbert Carrick and Kozak worked on D with Gilbert. Lost track of Danforth. Luukkonen in starter net.
Supporting my assertion that NHL games in October this season are “preseason games that, unfortunately, count;” we get this from @downgoesbrown.bsky.social ’s column this AM: “As of last night, the NHL has played 136 games. Last season, Game number 136 was played on Oct. 25.”
A good reminder that the NHL is a very good league. The Flames probably have the thinnest roster in the league, but take four forwards out of Carolina's lineup, and things look pretty even.

Good afternoon to the East Coast and good morning to the West! Bills vs. Raiders today in a few hours. Here are some pregame thoughts on some of their injuries heading into the game. And why no practice squad elevations is an extremely good sign for one in particular.

The Bills did not elevate anyone from their practice squad for their Week 6 game against the Raiders on Sunday.

Rasmus Dahlin won’t join the Sabres in Montreal, Lindy Ruff said, but he’s progressing. Ruff is hoping Jiri Kulich can get to Montreal tonight and be an option for tomorrow.
Profoundly sad day. The legendary Poochmobile/Rolling Jukebox takes her last ride after 17+ years of reliable, trustworthy, economical service, and dozens of great adventures all over. I loved that car. Still got 37 mpg on the day I parked her. This is almost like losing a pet.
