The announcement of redundancies and a reduction in operations at Alexander Dennis is awful, my thoughts are with all workers impacted. In buying more buses from China, the SNP have betrayed the workers and Scottish industry. Our buses should be built by Scottish workers.

Inflation up because of Trump's illegal war, meaning people will be worse off. Dedicated prison officers deserve more than a 3.5% pay rise this year, no worker should become poorer. In Parliament, I'll continue to fight for a fair rise for our prison officers.

The difference a Labour Government makes? The Chancellor and I announced £120 million investment to save 500 jobs in Grangemouth. The SNP Government buys more buses built in China than in Larbert & Falkirk! Scottish Labour will stand up for workers, communities and industry.

If Ratcliffe wants to talk about what damages the UK then he should look at his role in creating unemployment in communities, ending vital national industry & reducing Scotland's economy by £400m a year. The enemy to working class people travels by private jet, not on a dinghy.

Government ownership of vital industry is common sense.

McSweeney was at the heart of the political mistakes made since the General Election. He helped create this factionalism in the Labour Party. The country and party will be better off after today. The PM must consider following McSweeney's lead one last time and doing the same.
