I build stuff and create content for developers • JavaScript, Go, AWS, Kubernetes • Sr. Developer Educator @ Clerk, Prev @ PlanetScale • Go make someone smile today • Follower of Jesus ✝️

I'm looking to build a service that RECEIVES emails and parses the contents. Any recommendations on services I can use to streamline this? Would rather not setup a mail server myself lol

AI is a great coding companion, but you still need to put in the reps if you want to keep your skills sharp. Use it for the tool it is and dont let it become a crutch!

Working on a video that outlines the new Clerk & Supabase integration and how the whole thing works. Looking for feedback 🤗 First few slides walk through how a typical multi-tier application works, both independently and with Clerk.

My morning routine: 8:00 am - Wake up 8:30 am - Grab a brush and put on a little makeup 9:00 am - Hide the scars to fade away the shake-up 9:30 am - Ask myself "Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?" 10:00 am - Go create another fable (I wanted to)

You shouldn't trust code written by AI. That's not to say you shouldn't use AI to write code, but you should review everything it creates for accuracy and consistency.

Vibe coding is a huge productivity boost, but it isn't going to replace devs. It is however going to raise the bar for devs. AI is too confident in itself, and that confidence can mask the poor or insecure code to the untrained dev or muggle trying to build stuff.

Is it true to say an MCP is like an API designed to be consumed by an LLM? Finally looked into it for the first time yesterday and this seems like an apt description
