Going to academic awards event for my daughter tonight. Then it's a meeting about college applications. She's probably going to apply to Harvard, Michigan, Utah, Delaware, and some Colorado schools. Maybe a few others. #fatherhood #writerslife
All I want for my birthday is a certain obituary. 😏 And for @markhamillofficial.bsky.social to follow me back. 😄
Today is my birthday. As a gift, my freezer died and all of the birthday ice cream melted. Sigh #writerslife

Melissa Caruso@melissacaruso.bsky.social · 2w agoDiscoverability for new SFF books seems way down these days, especially outside of bestsellers and certain subgenres. I'm noticing this as both a reader and a writer. Great stuff is in danger of sinking without a trace. Please post about new/recent books you love or are excited for!!! I'll start:
My next book signing event is at Barnes & Noble First and Main in #coloradosprings Come by on October 4th from 11am to 3pm and load up on books! #booksky #readsky

My just-turned 11yo had his well child visit today at the pediatrician. He's 5 foot, 4 inches and apparently turning into a giant. 😄 #fatherhood #writerslife #writingcommunity

Just found out the rear brakes went out on my minivan. My wife was driving my daughter. They're both ok. Mechanic says it will cost $3000 to fix it (have to replace brakes and struts.) This is on top of a $700 garage door bill. And our vacuum broke yesterday. The hits keep coming.
Finally came to the realization that if I want publish my next book series, I'm going to need help. I hate it. But my kickstarter begins October 1st, so I guess I need to start spreading the word. More details soon. #writingcommunity #amwriting #writesky #booksky #readsky
Garage door spring just broke as I was coming in the house. Sounded like someone shot at me with a cannon. That'll get your blood pumping.
That scream you just heard was every Seattle Seahawks fan bellowing out in unison. Tough break, Seattle. #NFL
My daughter landed her triple loop today for the first time. Next is conquering the triple axel and triple salchow. #figureskating #figureskater #prouddad
