I am now seeing videos about "why Microsoft laid off 60,000 workers" because nothing is real and words can mean anything at any time. (Microsoft did not lay off 60,000 people but it feels like they did, I guess).

My entire view of the tech industry is shaped by my friend who used to develop the iOS app for Lyft who told me the company would become profitable once they stopped having to pay drivers. He seemed upset about...having to pay the people who made the company possible.

Whenever I see an article based on a reddit post or comment my former journalist's heart sinks a bit. Especially if it's something political...anonymous statements made on a site known for inauthentic coordinated activity and you're amplifying it?

Where are all the writers who can translate the latest infosec stuff into sentences that non-experts can understand? Haven't seen any yet. Major media seem to be ignoring whatever major things appear to be happening. Possibly I missed some articles.
