๐Ÿšจ Our volunteer crew launched overnight after reports of two people in the water by Brighton's West Pier. Extensive searches of the shoreline and sea were carried out before the lifeboat was stood down. If you see someone in trouble at the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

๐Ÿšจ Our volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard at 2.52am after reports of a person entering the water west of Brighton Palace Pier. Thankfully, the casualty was safely recovered ashore before our lifeboat launched. ๐Ÿ™ If you see anyone in difficulty at sea, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. ๐ŸŒŠ

Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim joined our amazing volunteer collectors to help raise money for the RNLI and spent hours chatting, posing for photos and supporting our lifesaving charity. Huge thanks to everyone who stopped to donate, say hello or support our volunteers yesterday. ๐Ÿ“ท Eddie Mitchell

At 1.12pm on Monday, our volunteer crew launched following reports of a person in the water near #Brighton Palace Pier. A search was carried out in the area. The person was located and is now safe. We were stood down at 1.30pm. Thank you to our volunteer crew for their swift response.

Two Sunday callouts: A windsurfer near Saltdean Lido made it safely back to shore after their sail snapped. Shortly after, the lifeboat launched to a paddleboarder off King Alfred. They were found safe and well, with no assistance needed. ๐Ÿ’™ Always check conditions before heading out.

Brighton RNLI has responded to several shouts along the cityโ€™s coastline in recent days. This included a launch to #Brighton Palace Pier, as well as searches offshore & along the coast following reports of vessels in difficulty, a possible person in the water, and a red flare sighted near the i360.

๐Ÿšจ Our volunteer crew launched last night following reports of a red flare off Brightonโ€™s seafront. After a full search, no person or vessel in difficulty was found and a flare casing was later located on the beach. Flares should only ever be used in a genuine emergency.

โš ๏ธ Weather warnings in place as Storm Chandra brings strong winds and heavy rain to the south coast. Sea conditions can change fast. Stay back from the waterโ€™s edge and avoid piers and harbour walls. In an emergency, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

๐Ÿšจ Shout #75 โ€“ Friday Our volunteer crew launched to a report of a jet skier in trouble east of Brighton Marina. Despite swift action from our volunteers and SECAmb, the casualty sadly didnโ€™t survive. ๐Ÿ’” Our thoughts are with their family and friends. ๐Ÿ’™

A big well done to Andy (front), who joined his first shout with Brighton RNLI this week ๐Ÿ™Œ The crew were tasked on Sunday evening after reports of a woman entering the sea off Kemptown. Thankfully, police were already on scene and the casualty was taken into care before the lifeboat arrived.

We launched on Monday to assist in the search for a person seen entering the water off Hove Lawns. Despite the best efforts of everyone involved, sadly a woman in her 50s was confirmed to have died. Our thoughts are with her family and friends. ๐Ÿ’™
