I really should see a doctor about my liver... heh. I feel like a pathetic idiot.
‘Coyote vs. Acme’ includes a message in the film’s end credits thanking the audience for saving the film: “Dedicated to everyone who posted, shared, held up signs and spoke out when it counted. This film made it to the big screen because of you.”
A thing in gaming that I don't gets brought up nearly enough: It was Nintendo, in the 80s, looking at Atari's failure, deciding music was essential. Anyone who wanted to make a game on their platform needed a composer and original music. Every 3rd party needed to provide games with original music.
Miyamoto has breached the secondary defenses.

In 1991, my father had a major heart attack at the beginning of December. He was in the hospital for a while. And it was expensive. My mom's boss wanted to help out and asked her what us kids wanted for Christmas. For Christmas, my dad was back home, and I got a Super Nintendo. Best Christmas ever.
Thinking about the time I got in trouble in first grade because I pronounced burger like booger because I was just a dumb kid.
I contacted @joypadlad.bsky.social that one of my magnets was damaged. Landlord did a big cleaning in the kitchen when my roommate moved out. Unfortunately, I found my FFIV logo magnet damaged. Joypadlad kindly replaced just the one magnet. That's like 80s/90s rad. Absolutely recommend. 11/10.
I have been heartbroken over the passing of Hayden Panettiere. For me, and I imagine many gamers, she was first and foremost Kairi. I wish things had worked out differently. I know she struggled with addiction. I just hope she is at peace now.
"verify your age" I got in trouble for constantly trying to play Burger Time on an arcade cabinet at my Uncle and Aunt's wedding reception.
I was polled by YouGov about Meta building AI data centers in Wisconsin. HARD NO.

I shouldn't tell you this, but everyone in Wisconsin is on a group text where we carefully plan out how to freak out the entire nation every election with at least one insanely close race.
I just want to say, I collect games, but I collect games to play them. I do not believe there is any real value in keeping them sealed, or graded, or whatever. Their real value is in the joy people can experience playing them. Thank you for attending my Ted Talk.
I can tell you from my work, the building of new data centers did drop down dramatically a few months ago. Also, I'm really not sure how comfortable I feel doing this work. I was kinda dumb. It took me a while to realize a job name with "DC" in it meant data center.
I did math, and from Nintendo's Q1 numbers, it looks like sales were 40% physical, 40% digital when physical is available, and 20% for digital-only games and services. That's a 50/50 split when a physical cartridge is available. I don't think Nintendo is even close to abandoning the physical space.
Last time I was at my local Best Buy, I noticed that they have some indie games on physical Switch cartridges like Stardew Valley and Undertale. I think I'm gonna swing by there sometime and pick those up. Putting my money where my mouth is and supporting physical media.
Cleaned up my old gaming PC and reset Windows. Had good times with it but I really don't have room to keep it around. Now the real question is what to do with it at this point.
The situation with Mighty Mog is troubling to say the least. I'm still trying to figure out what happened. I'm... at minimum very disappointed.

I'm sad to report my uncle passed away tonight. He had been fighting cancer for several years. He was 71. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family. I'm just grateful I got to be there. He was always the funny one at gatherings and brightened the room. A party animal and jokester all his life.
Do we all agree that it's pronounced Live-A-Live now and not Live-A-Live, or the godforsaken Live-A-Live.
Exhausted with dealing with friends and loved ones getting cancer, fighting cancer. Cancer sucks.
Crazy to think Final Fantasy X is 25 years old. Still a very special game to me, both for the game itself and when it entered my life. It was the reason I got a PS2.

Getting home from Spamalot. It was fantastic! The current touring cast is really amazing. Check them out if they're coming to your city. If you saw earlier shows, they've definitely expanded and updated some of the humor. If you like Monty Python, it's a must-see. youtu.be/4aCyhBYh7c0?...

Holy crap. So I wrote an e-mail to my local orchestra that I'm unhappy they aren't doing Bach Fest this year... and I got a real reply from a string player that was just amazing. How... Complaining sincerely and getting real reply is such a weird things these days that I'm not sure how to process it
