Spent the past few days presenting at @bristolcms.bsky.social's PGR Conference 2026! 'Imperfect Prefects: Leet Officer Accountability in Late Medieval England' Managed to meet some great people, both medieval and environmentally inclined!

I had a lovely time presenting at the Bristol CMS PGR Conference this week @bristolcmspgr.bsky.social ! It was wonderful to talk about supernatural mothers once again ( this time, stepmothers!) and I even got to use a historical printing press! Thank you Bristol CMS!

It was an absolute pleasure to speak at @bristolcmspgr.bsky.social on Monday on the socio-linguistic aspects of charter names as performances of power in Langobard Italy, chaired by Dr. Anna Havinga. Admittedly, I hadn't been intending on imitating Hozier's fabulous hair quite so closely...
