I’ll probably be inactive on here for a few more days. I’ve been really struggling with my PTSD and suicidal thoughts lately and am just not capable of being online. But I promise I’ll try to reply to things when I can. 💙

Goddess of the Sea and Pirates of Aletharia were featured in I Heart SapphFic’s Fantasy week! 🖤 Aletharia is the high fantasy world where the Lesbians, Pirates, & Dragons series takes place. It’s inspired in part by our own history, though it’s different in…a few ways. (1/3)

Pirates of Aletharia was one of the featured books in last week’s IHS Reading Challenge category: Ocean/Sea! 💙 Much of this book (and the series itself) takes place on the Azure Sea. The Azure Sea is both the warmest and most beautiful sea in Aletharia. I’d say it’s the most dangerous, but… (1/2)

I’m excited to share that Pirates of Aletharia (Lesbians, Pirates, & Dragons: Book 1) won the 2025 IAN Book of the Year Award in LGBTQ+ Fiction! This makes, I believe, the fourth literary award it’s won. 💙 It was also a finalist in Fantasy! I’m beyond grateful. 💙

The Assassins of Light (Creatures of Darkness: Book 3) is featured in this week’s IHS Reading Challenge category, which includes books set in Canada! If you’ve read this series, you know Rose and Kara do a lot of traveling in it. One of several places they end up is Canada. (1/2)

I finally made some book cards for Sapphic Book Bingo! (In my defense, I’ve been sick for AGES.) If you’re participating, here are some categories Pirates of Aletharia & Goddess of the Sea fit! 💙 (The dragons would absolutely be offended by us calling them “pets,” but…I think they count. 😅) (1/3)

Book 1 of the series: “I need to stick close for this one. So, I’ll do mostly one POV—with a few necessary shifts.” Book 2: “Okay… Two points of view. Not a huge change. We’re okay.” Book 3: “Oh, dear god. How many points of view do I have now?”

I’ve been so unbelievably sick this week that I’m starting to forget what it feels like to NOT have a fever. And I’m severely anemic on top of it, so, you know…maybe the room is supposed to spin? Maybe equilibrium is a myth.

I stopped to get oranges on the way home from ReadOUT and saw a baby alligator. *BABY* alligator. 💚

I’m home from ReadOUT & already missing everyone. 💙 This was such an incredible weekend. It’s always great to talk about books & writing—& queer books, specifically—but more than that, being together in this moment filled me with more hope than I’ve felt in a while. I love this community so much.💙

This holiday season, SASS and GCLS are celebrating sapphic books with #SapphicBooksAreGifts, which is awesome for many reasons—not least of all because I require some form of coercion in order to market my books. 😅 (1/2)

I really enjoyed doing this interview with I Heart SapphFic several weeks back about Goddess of the Sea! 💙 I was having a bit of a scary flare-up at the time, and my mind wasn’t at its clearest. So, I MIGHT have dropped more hints about The Dragon Child than intended. (1/2)

I’ve been having a pretty rough time lately, BUT during that time, Goddess of the Sea reached a happy little milestone!💙 It now has over 500 reviews & ratings on Amazon! (And almost 200 on Audible!) I know I’ve said this a few times now, but I’ve never been more terrified to release a book… (1/2)
