Really enjoyed this - for those (like me) who were bereft when we left Ruth behind there’s a new gang to fall in love with. I can’t wait to revisit Ali and Dina and Bud and John in the next in the series 🥰 And I loved the combination of time travel and crime - added loads of intrigue and twists 🤓
All #agent121s with @saskialeach.bsky.social have now been taken. Only a few remain for our other literary agents so be quick! You can still join Saskia along with bestselling author Anna Britton at their talk, The Querying Process, on Sunday 27th April at 3:15pm. All can be booked on the website.
Surrey chums - I’m headed your way this Saturday 🤓 Join me for an afternoon of crime bookish chat at Camberley Library ☺️ Nab your ticket here 👇 www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/an-afterno...

The books I read in January 📖🥰📚 This has been a great reading month - not a single dud 🤓 My highlights were The Last Gifts of the Universe, Yeonnam-dong’s Smiley Landromat, and The Wild Robot 😍 These plus ebooks, I read 18 books in January 🥳
❗️ Only 4 slots remaining! ❗️ I'm really looking forward to attending @bmthwritingfest.bsky.social on Sunday 27th April, where I will be giving #Agent121s. Tickets are booking fast, with only four spaces left, don't miss out! Book here: pdsw.org.uk/whats-on/1-2-1…
The whole blurb thing is interesting. As an author I was so delighted when people I admired read my book and said lovely things about it, and I love shouting about other people’s books. However, as a reader an author blurb has never propelled me to buy a book 🤷🏻♀️
A very small, miniscule even, bit of welcome news, but I'll take it. www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/...
Working in on line edits for Martin and Stern three now (which I HATE) and Odie has refused to trade jobs - you’d think one day of me napping while he edits would be okay but NO 🤷🏻♀️
Always in awe of the people who save up their Waterstones points and go on an epic book shopping spree at the end of the year/on their birthday but I will always be a person who redeems them at the earliest possible moment 😂
One edit done, onto the next 🤓 This was a quick structural edit and next up is a close line by line, which I HATE but it does make the writing sharper so has to be done 🫠
#amwriting or #amquerying and fancy getting some agent feedback on your #WIP? I'm doing Agent 1-2-1s with @iaminprint.bsky.social at 2pm on Thursday 30th January. I'm looking for most genres in commercial fiction and am happy to answer all your #askagent questions! t.co/J5t3q7R2PZ

Over Christmas I took my emails off my phone and since then I haven’t put them back on and I’m loving it - I only look at my emails now when I actually have time to and don’t compulsively check them throughout the day 🤷🏻♀️ If only I could go back in time and tell querying Anna this was the way to go 🤦🏻♀️😂
