a lot of tumblr-inflected fandom, dating at least back to the superwholock era, has this very specific post-millennial thing where characters get treated like woobies, which is how you end up with people getting mad at you for explaining a thing a character did in a story

it's actually sad as hell to use AI for research when research is the fun part. you can just email people and call them on the phone and ask them questions about the thing that they have expertise in. you can read documents & learn cool shit. ok now i'm just talking about how being a reporter is fun

I could be said to have extensive prompting experience (100 million plus tokens) and my advice is to stay out of the river of shit. Don't get the FOMO. And definitely don't be shamed into thinking that this is actually an accessibility tool.

This isn't accessibility. It's a form of distributed delusion. Automations absolutely can be an accessibility tool that are good and useful for cognitive offloading. But not an LLM-based "AI agent", which is dangerous to cognitively offload onto because it is built to convince you that it can think.
