Perfect photo to bookend my day - we visited the Obama Presidential Center today, and seeing Brand New Day this evening.
Our trip to the Obama Presidential Center was fabulous. What a beautiful campus! The exhibits are well done and highly accessible - braille, sign language interpreters, and audio available. Most of all, it really shows the stark contrast to what was, and what is. Sure, I was nostalgic; also sad.

Today, 42 years ago, I went on a date with a girl I’d worked with at a local restaurant. We’d known each other since April, and as the summer dawned had become a little flirty. Went to a Red Lobster for dinner - high class in those days! We were 17. After 38 years of marriage, glad she said “Yes”.
Although Shanna the She-Devil only lasted five issues, it wasn’t for the lack of strong covers by superstar artists. The premiere was covered by Jim Steranko, and the subsequent four were by - • 2 - Steranko again • 3 - John Buscema & Joe Sinnott • 4 - John Romita • 5 - Romita again
