Late night writing session aka reading my favorite moments in Galehouse 🖤✨

For the first time, Oliver's eyes darkened with contempt. The sight frightened her. "Nothing
will fix our family save killing every last one of us."
She studied the change in him. "You can't really think that."
He was quiet a moment, and then he leaned in closer, conspiratorial. His eyes glittered in the
dim glow. "I hope he's good to you."
Again that sparking flutter in her chest. She strangled it, swallowed it, until she could convince
herself it was only the lingering anxiety of the last twenty-four hours. "I hope he is too."

We must must must resist the idea that generative AI is inevitable. It is not inevitable. People don't really like it. It doesn't do its job well. Rewatching The Holiday has become such a treasured tradition for me that I legitimately plan it like an event. I need no distractions, the comfiest clothes and blankets, the perfect snack, and it has to be juuust before Christmas. I look forward to it almost as much as Christmas itself. 🥹

She gasped and whipped around. Now facing him, their faces just centimetres apart, she pressed her forehead to
his. His hungry, wicked energy plumed into her bloodstream, but this time, she welcomed it. It was so similar to her
own-needing, desperate— but stronger, masculine. The desire to take so prominent, she saw stars.
"Kiss me," she begged against his mouth, their lips so nearly touching, her words barely met air before falling
onto his tongue. "Dear god, kiss me until I can't breathe."
So he did.
His kiss was firm and eager, his hands coming around her waist to keep her as close as possible. His soft lips
parted on a gasp before swelling into a groan. He kissed her again, moving his mouth in a slow, torturous rhythm.
Teasing, tasting, biting. Katie's head swam, floating away from her body and into the corners of the room. But still it
wasn't enough.
