Running for Denver City Council At-Large. Campaign money goes into neighborhood work, not your recycling bin. Tell me what your block needs.

City council just put a new Xcel contract on your ballot this November: 20 years, no exit dates. A gym membership Denver can't cancel until 2046. What's your bill at now? The average was $90.90 a month in 2022. Our house hit $309 in July.

If you live in Denver and need something fixed in your neighborhood, my campaign will do it, find someone who can, or make sure the city knows about it. Today, we requested two RRFBs in Barnum. What's an RRFB? Well, you'd probably know one if you heard it:

If you ever see my face in your mailbox, someone else paid to put it there. In '23, Denver candidates spent $1.5M on mail & lit. Taxpayers covered ~80% of what they spent. I'm putting campaign money back into the city: clinics, crews, and hiring Denver people, not consultants.

My theory: Commander is weed. It's not collapsing; it's the single most popular format in a game that made 1.7b last year. Legal weed did 29b. Both are initially novel, but the hedonic treadmill kicks in. Then we expect there to be something MORE. There isn't. This is, more or less, it.

I'm not part of your target demo but you should know Secrets of Strixhaven just about convinced me to start playing Arena again but then Marvel Superheroes dropped and so did my interest level. Let Magic be Magic ffs.

We walked down the aisle to our friends playing The Avett Brothers. This weekend, we get to see them for the first time live. Reminding myself of this on a Tuesday because the rest of the day and week will be brutal.

Took home five boxes from the Arena Direct this weekend. MSH is a complex sealed format and I think a lot of people are doing it wrong. Obviously had some busted Azorius builds, but landcyclers enable greedy decks and most of the time, you should be splashing. Here are a few of mine:

It's not my place to get involved with sexual abuse allegations. All I can say is believe / signal boost the victims of such heinous acts. Some of y'all aren't doing that though. This isn't "content" or an opportunity to get clicks. There is a line between supporting victims & clout chasing.

Still thinking about @improphilo.bsky.social's article RE: Powered Cube and the per pack power limit 1. Game designers avoid creating loss aversion 2. Almost all players make the "right" decision 3. A few outliers make choices we don't get 4. Due to outlier behavior, people can feel bad? ???

If you can believe it, we just successfully published dozens of pieces of high quality Magic writing over the course of three months, all without compromising on quality or pay! Thank you to everyone who made this possible and to our writers who have trusted us to put their work out into the world
