WEATHER IMPACTS: A high impact weather day for portions of Southeast Michigan, due to the potential for heavy rainfall for most of the region. Once this front and low pressure system moves out of the region, we will dry things out with sunshine returning by Monday... #MIWX

Bild

SUNDAY FORECAST: Rain showers increase in coverage, with some embedded thunderstorms as well. Heavy rain is also possible, with a Flood Watch continuing into the early evening hours on Sunday. Temperatures in the 60s out the door this morning, mid to upper-70s this afternoon.. #MIWX

Bild

FLOOD ADVISORY: Lenawee & Monroe Counties until 3:30 PM - Some places in these counties have seen 1.0-1.5" of rainfall already this morning. More rain is expected into the afternoon, with another 1-2" of rain possible. Minor flooding is possible or ongoing.. Turn Around, Don't Drown! #MIWX

Bild

AXIS OF HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE: Model data overnight has changed a bit, with our area of low pressure moving into the region, that an axis of heavy rain will develop mid to late morning & into the afternoon. Clouds & Radar Forecast does a good job showing where this sets up today... #MIWX

Flood Advisory for Lenawee and Monroe, MI until 3:30 PM EDT. Flooding from excessive rainfall is expected. Minor flooding in low-lying/poor drainage areas. Turn... Interactive map: https://greenewx.com/maps/urn_oid_2_49_0_1_840_0_5b2d630b6ceef119dfb48588b78f3368760615f1_001_1_bryan_schuerman.html

EXACT TRACK 4D RADAR (8:30 AM 8/2/26): Scattered showers on the radar north and west of Metro Detroit, after most of us saw some rain overnight last night and into early this morning. Those that saw the rain overnight saw upwards of 0.50" to over 1" in some places. We add more on today.. #MIWX

BildBild

4WARN WEATHER ALERT - FLOOD WATCH: Our situation for Sunday has changed a little overnight, and there is increasing confidence in a heavy rainfall event for most of today. Due to that, a Flood Watch is in effect for most of the region as some places could see over 3" of rain today.. #MIWX

Bild

SATURDAY MORNING: Exact Track 4D Radar is tracking a few rain showers west of Metro Detroit as you're waking up this morning. Outside of that, plenty of cloud cover for everyone this morning, and it is a little humid as well. 70s out the door, and expect rain to increase in coverage today! #MIWX

BildBild

MORE RAIN CHANCES: With part of the low pressure system moving through over the weekend getting "cutoff" in the upper-levels of the atmosphere, I am keeping the chance for a few rain showers into the region to start next week, Then, another front moves in by Wednesday.. #MIWX

Bild

RAINFALL FORECAST: This is from Friday Night through Late Sunday Night, and it looks like we could see anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rainfall over 48 to 60 hours. So, while we've been dry for a minute and we need some rainfall, this might be too much in some locations.. #MIWX

Bild

HEAVY RAIN POTENTIAL: As of Friday Evening, this is where I would start to look for the heavy rainfall potential. Clouds & Radar Forecast brings in the chances for that late Saturday night, and into the overnight hours, and also on Sunday morning We will keep an eye for any flooding concerns.. #MIWX

Bild

HEAVY RAINFALL POTENTIAL: This looks like it could develop late Saturday, into the overnight and Sunday morning. With that in mind, the Weather Prediction Center has placed the region in a Marginal Risk for Excessive Rainfall on Saturday, with Monroe & Lenawee Counties under a Slight Risk.. #MIWX

BildBild

It's been another nice and warm day across the region for our Friday! A mixture of sunshine and clouds today, temperatures running into the mid to upper 80s & even a few lower 90s this afternoon. Exact Track 4D Radar is dry for the moment, but that all changes this weekend! #MIWX

BildBild

FEELING MORE UNCOMFORTABLE: As we work into the end of the week and into the weekend, you're going to notice that it will feel more humid than it has the last few days. Our Muggy Meter shows that we will be in the "Sticky" category on Friday, then into the "Humid" category this weekend.. #MIWX

Bild

THURSDAY EVENING: We will keep a little bit of cloud cover in the forecast tonight. Expect partly cloudy skies into the overnight hours tonight as well... It will be warmer & more humid in the temperature department. 80s by mid-evening drop into the 70s by midnight tonight.. #MIWX

Bild

DRIER... THAN WETTER THIS MONTH: So far this month (July 2026) at Detroit Metro Airport (KDTW), we've only had 6 days that we've seen above a trace of rainfall. And as we look ahead into the end of the week, we will end this month on a dry note before weekend rainfall.. #MIWX

Bild

If you think it's been a bit since we've seen any kind of decent rainfall across the region, you'd be right. But, technically we are not in any type of a drought... with one exception. The latest Drought Monitor has portions of Genesee and Lapeer Counties in a D0, or abnormally dry... #MIWX

Bild

Our area of low pressure and cold front moved through the region overnight last night into early this morning. With a little bit of moisture behind the low, we will keep the chance of a few rain showers in the forecast this morning. Outside of that, a mix of sunshine & clouds are expected... #MIWX

Bild

TUESDAY PLANNER: I am holding onto the chance of a few rain showers this morning, but this will not be widespread. Outside of that, a mix of sunshine and clouds can be expected. 60s to lower 70s out the door, and we will be a bit cooler throughout the day. Highs heading for around 80°.. #MIWX

Bild

BREEZY WINDS: Behind the cold front and area of low pressure early this morning, winds are already gusting upwards of 10-15 MPH. Expect these gusts to continue today, if not get a little bit stronger. Winds could gust as high as 25 MPH as we work throughout the day on Tuesday... #MIWX

Bild

Plenty of cloud cover on our Towercam network this Tuesday Morning. Mostly cloudy to overcast skies for the moment, but I am expecting the clouds to break-up a bit, and we will see some sunshine today. It also feels a little humid out the door, lower humidity works in today as well.. #MIWX

Bild

EXACT TRACK 4D RADAR: After some thunderstorms for us overnight last night into early this morning, we are hanging on to a few rain showers out the door. As of 5:00 AM Tuesday Morning, those rain showers are confined along and north of I-69, but we could see a few showers this morning.. #MIWX
