Photographer and image creator since 1994, in a new phase of intimate photography that attempts to explore the depths of femininity, in all its dimensions, with empathy and humor.

"The Relaximist" I'm prone to inventing a portmanteau for use as a title, or, in this case, just making up a word. 'Relaximizing' was coined as the opposite of 'maximizing,' and birthed the title here. Again, I present a sexy alternate to a cover I designed, though I do like this original. #artnude

"Memory Loss" Mom was suffering from dementia when she had the stroke that ushered her to death. As the picture guy, I took possession of the family photo albums, some of which had met catastrophic water damage. Before I disposed of them, I photographed some of the pages, which felt poignantly apt.

A close-up of a page from a photo album. Several mounting corners are visible, their pictures missing. Moldy spots of black and orange blossom from the paper. The one remaining photograph, a black and white head shot portrait, has been ruined by streaks of water and additional mold, heavily obscuring (though not completely) most of the facial features. Just the hair and a single eye—looking directly in the lens—remain relatively untouched.

I've taken so many window light photos, I decided I needed to add 'window' to my Lightroom keywords. Pretty late in the game to make such a retroactive decision, plus scanning the archive has me stopping to edit shots that catch my eye, like this shot of Sandra in Philly last year. #artnude #bnw

Do I actually think Blind Melon’s cover of the Schoolhouse Rock song “3 Is A Magic Number” is one of the ten best covers in history? No. But it was on my list because, you know, fun. I have to remember I can just cue it up if it doesn’t make the #xpncountdown one-vote mix tape. But it’s not as fun.

Mostly I feel music is out there to be enjoyed, but I’m weirdly possessive of Talk Talk, so I hated that cover of It’s My Life when it came out, convinced I would have to share this thing I loved with the filthy casuals. In the end, most people didn’t know or care it was a cover. #xpncountdown
