Proud to share that the IAU has officially named an asteroid in my honour. Can’t believe it!! A 4.7 km rock at the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter is named Sanchez-Cano! As a scientist, this is a truly special milestone. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey! 🚀🛰☄️💫✨

✨Paper alert✨ Thanks to MEX and TGO talking between them, a region of Mars’ ionosphere never explored before was sampled during a major solar storm. A fantastic work lead by Jacob Parrott! M-MATISSE will have this capability in much larger scale to explore the so far unseen!
