Day 4. Good morning from Nightcap Nat Park. Looking over Wanganui Gorge to Goonengerry National Park, then Upper Coopers Creek towards Minyon Falls.
Banging winter morning. Ocean is steaming compared to air temp.
Started the day with dolphins at dawn, and dogs of course.
I asked Baloo and the earth if there is anything wrong with being mildly happy that Lindsey Graham is dead. Both responded ‘fuck no, good riddance’. Some Mondays start off great!
When the garden says drink gin, you’re kinda obliged to.
There are the sort of projects I love seeing tax dollars being spent on. I hope to witness and rest in the shade, or out of the wind, of these huts one day. Just so awesome :) www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHuM...

I do enjoy the style in which Cody Dahler reports on issues. Worth a follow on other platforms whenever on offsite time pass missions... You may pick up in this vid the t-shirt 'One Nation One Race' - sigh.
So lucky to experience winter mornings like this in Australia vs wankfest patriotic 4 July USA nonsense. Bonus point for spotting Baloo (sandy blonde Groodle).

Banging Monday out there! Ocean temp vs air temp magic, along with some Baloo ear lift off.
Thanks NZ, that’s a wrap. Pukka from start to end. Home with couple days via Melbourne tonight, then the hard reality of back to work Monday.
I’m sitting at my camp in the last of the afternoon sun having a beer. The water quality here is sublime. Hard to see where it starts and ends, rocks in pic are deceptively deep, then can still see the bottom of what looks like 10 mtrs + 📷 NZ South Island
Ok, for chip packet whispering ASMR peeps. Yesterday's hike was across plenty of ice n stuff. As the sun got high enough the ice melted away making an ethereal tinkling sound. It was so delicate and pretty, if not for turning the nice hard ice to walk on into fucking slush.
Bluesky for Bsky. Shit, even another selfie. This bin chicken is getting vain. Gained just over 1000 mtrs in 8 km, over ice, rocks & pretty unforgiving ground. So worth it, nature is f-king awesome. The old legs can feel it though ;)
Sadly that was the crossing 15km into day 3 of 4 day loop. Hiking pole could not get traction, depth to the handle. Turned around 15km back out over saddle & different valley 5 hr drive from my vehicle at the trail head. Thank you to awesome people from multiple hitches that provided lifts. 📷 NZ
