From today’s visit to Monkeyflower Ranch in Salinas California.
In the event of a nuclear apocalypse, apparently humanity's last words will be "Bro, Bro, Oh my gosh, Dude, check it out" with accompanying mushroom cloud cell phone video.
It is great to see the scale of Dragonfly here. All of the animations of the mission don't easily show off how huge this drone is. I can't wait for it to fly in Titan's atmosphere.
I got to see Dragonfly in the APL cleanroom, and she’s beautiful! And BIG. No photos from the cleanroom, but here’s a full-scale test article in the lobby of Building 200 at APL. 😍
I posted about spacecraft knots in 2012! Well, I edited a post by knot tyer David Fred: www.planetary.org/articles/201...
Knots on Mars
It might surprise most people to learn that multitudes of knots tied in cords and thin ribbons have probably traveled on every interplanetary mission ever…

One of my favorite things about images from the Martian rovers is seeing the lacing, tied by human hands, securing the wire bundles of a vehicle on another planet.
I wonder if next hard drive will be labeled after eponymous lubricant
I just uploaded a video with all four available tracking views of the Artemis II launch next to each other. #Artemis youtu.be/ydUeuJvZ97s

Little know fact, the crew in the train tail car was composed entirely of owls.
No... Cahoots was the crew car at the end of the train, before modern sensors and signalling made them unnecessary
Links to Claude's old (5/23) rules-based constitution www.anthropic.com/news/claudes... and new (1/26) principles-based www.anthropic.com/constitution which includes the disputed use cases. "Fascinating" we now explain to software why it should be good. ("Claude's nature" section interesting.)

Every year I’m so delighted and proud to see “my” art show has continued to live and grow beyond me :) The grads running it always do an awesome job and it’s become a community staple in Tucson! It runs all weekend, go see some #sciart! 🎨🪐
Not sure how many #Tucson followers I have here, but this Friday evening is a free art show called The Art of Planetary Science at University of Arizona. Come say hi if you see me! I’ll give you a sticker 😄
