One of my Instagram friends posted a pit shot earlier today, and when I complimented him, he asked me for one. I think it came out fairly well, although it makes my chest and belly look entirely smooth, which they are not.
Kind of a #tbt/#fcf mash-up. This one's from a few weeks back.
A slightly late #tbt entry from 2013. Man, have I aged.
A smoked meat sandwich at Schwartz's in Montreal. I've wanted to have one for years, but this was the first time there wasn't an hour-plus wait for a seat. Montreal has it all over New York for both smoked meat and bagels--and this is coming from a native New Yorker, mind you.
Back in my college days, I could easily handle 14+ hour road trips. Now, a 3-hour drive to Montreal for a weekend conference wipes me out completely. Looks like I'll be sleeping in.
I know to some of you that I follow it may not be that large of number of followers, but I can’t believe that over 500 would be interested in following this old man and I’m amazed that I have that many followers. 😊, with that being said here’s my contribution to #FCF
Took in a Calgary Wranglers game with @hockeytown.bsky.social on Saturday, and had a heck of a great time (with awesome seats!). The shot he took reminded me of several from the past, including the second pic below, taken eight years ago. Clearly, the years have been kinder to him than me.
Heading out west to spend time with my amazing cub--my only regret is that I have to leave my wonderful, sweet bear behind for a short time. Having them both in my life is a constant reminder of how truly lucky I am.

A 20-ish friend of mine just referred to me as a "hot dad." Given that I'm well into middle age, I've tried to embrace the whole "dad" thing, but sometimes being reminded of it makes me feel old and in decline.
By request: a pic of me with neater hair. Had to go back in the camera roll pretty far to find this. Hope it works!
On the first snow day of the season, we enjoyed an amazing Thanksgiving spread with our friends in the Green Mountains. Hope you all had an equally enjoyable holiday.
Listened to this for the first time in quite a while, and it continues to resonate.
