Anyone else get into that "I want" phase of window shopping but because everything is expensive nowadays you feel guilty so you start power-working through shit you needed to get done (commission work etc) because you don't allow yourself to get the unnecessary thing you want unless stuff gets done?

Digital artists, share your first digital art and year vs. now It's hard to pinpoint my first digital drawing because I started by tracing my own pencil doodles but I know this one is among my first fully digital 2017 vs 2026 what a crazy 9 years it's been

Their fin is blue, skin is a medium tan, their eyes are red and the hair is teal with one side shaved. (The merfolk is named Cod (they/them) - Original content and character by me)

Digital artists, share your first digital art and year vs. now! 2009 x 2025 Not my first by a long shot, I made it a few months after I got my first drawing tablet (a silver wacom bamboo fun). Sharing these two side by side bc it's kinda funny in a bittersweet way (further context in both alts)

man😣 I have now aknowledged that #CSP has a 5.0 update and some of the improvements are things I've been wishing I could do for years but because I just have 1.0 it's still super expensive to upgrade 😭

Sometimes you need to remember just how much love it takes to be able to do what you do. If you had shown highschool me the pieces I can make nowadays, they probably wouldn't believe the leaps of improvement They felt so hopeless and art was all they could hold onto And we still made it out, somehow

If I could have anything for the holidays I would ask to have to move out of my current apartment I'm the kind of person who doesn't do well with changes and I've settled in my little cozy nook of the world I really hope I can stay there, I don't want to move somewhere else ; - ;

I swear to the stars above I will figure out how to properly setup my vgen in 2026 so that I can use it to do commissions. If anyone wants to help me figure it out I'd adore some help but no matter what this is getting done next year!!
