Another great article from these folks‼️ I *do* disagree w/ONE minor thing: re: PULLING: "Heel" or "eye contact" won't get you ANYwhere. Me, I hate "heel" as a command—people tend to say it w/anger, which is counterproductive. Best bet? Say "DogName, Come." And walk in the OPPOSITE direction (more👇)

Someone said "dogs don't play much after 3."😳Uh...Not true of any i know. 👉What're UR dog's play skeds❓️💙 Cuz after 7/8? Sure. But Jack's 10; since 1½, he plays 5mins on, 10mins off. Buddy? 2 solid hrs of play PER WALK until his last wk on this Earth. I've found #dogs are at their PEAK at ~5; not 3.

While staying w/a relative, I awoke one day and walked myself to the bathroom. Jackson Bird followed; I put down a towel for him to lie on while he waited for me to do my morning routine. When i came out, he hadn't moved... except that he magically had these 2 balls (I'd never seen before) with him!
Yesterday met a cute Bernedoodle, 7mo, and ALREADY showing signs of anxiety. Owners are half-assing the training, but also their #dogtrainer is telling them THAT'S OK!🤦♂️🤦🏼♂️ Which MEANS: the trainer is a scammer!! Sometimes, just think logically about the things a trainer tells u. NEVER blindly follow!

He used a slip lead—these effing SUCK‼️ I've worked w/LARGE Pits & other VICIOUS #dogs, some from FIGHTING RINGS & have NEVER NEEDED that (or a prong or choker, etc). What works? Holding a leash correctly, earning TRUST w/REWARDS!

Today's #goodnews started 2 years ago on a Welsh beach when a dog discovered a tiny injured 2 lb. turtle 5,000 miles away from home. Rhossi was rescued & sent to rehab at Anglesey Sea Zoo where they spent 2 years nursing him back to health. Now 46 pounds, he's made his way back home to the Gulf.❤️🐢
