Last night rewatch of Kurosawa's masterpiece High and Low. I haven't watched this in 25 years. Still so incredible. The thing that struck me this time around after a little over of half a century of life behind me is the frenetic energy vs beauty of stillness & the shot compositions are astounding.

This past Thursday I had a fucking amazing smashburger with garlic cheesy fries house salad and vanilla shake at Milkweed in Dorchester on Morrissey Blvd. It was a dinner special for $15 bucks!

Back on July 3rd we had a flood in our basement. A full tub of water drained through the basement toilet and onto the floor because of a blocked trap going out to the sewer drain. So mitigators are here ripping out all the damaged wood, carpet, and paneling. We had to pack up the entire collection.
