A boomer from the Land Down Under, old grumpy and tired of the haters

Spiers still trying to pump up the tires 🛞 of the Libs & the Nats even though the tires are no longer on the same vehicle. The splintered RW is even more irrelevant than ever before

At the end of the parliamentary year Ley & Littleproud still chasing the One Nation turd 💩 down the sewer of political irrelevance while the voters are focussed on more relevant solutions that effect their today and their near futures

The Liberals just can’t unite to take the fight to the ALP, just the usual infighting and disfunction. And yet the major donors don’t care, as long as people like Hastie keep mouthing their far right messaging it’s all good

Speers trying to make Penny Wong appear antisemitic while she walks the diplomatic line held by many other countries who want a diplomatic solution and the killing to stop

Even the Sunday Shot is still obsessing with the bun fight between the Libs & Nats after the election decimation of the Libs. The ALP is vulnerable while we wait for the parliament to convene on the 22nd of July. They also took little policy to the election that didn’t address hot issues

Watched Littleproud (flanked by McKenzie and Hogan) announcing the divorce from the Liberals. McKenzie lost party status in the senate with Prices defection to the Libs (no funding for a party whip), now a pay cut with no shadow ministry and at the next election she will lose her seat

Once again the ABC & Sarah Ferguson are obsessing with the LNP when they are irrelevant. Why aren’t they devoting the program to the lowering of interest rates today (which is very relevant) and the governments agenda for this parliamentary term

The Sth Aust seat of Grey may fall to Labor. It covers 92% of the land area of the state and takes in 4 large urban areas. Labor has never won the seat before. The Liberal incumbent retired so the two major parties have fielded fresh faces

Question for AUSTRALIANS and NEW ZEALANDERS only: Would you travel to the United States while DJT is president, if you have the inclination or opportunity? Please reply to this post with your answer and we’ll tally the results and post them. And please like and re-post for greater poll reach.

That was very funny, how quickly the media deserted Duttons campaign stop in southern NSW when a few anti-nuclear protesters staged a skit nearby. Dutton was rendered immediately irrelevant and had to leave the scene. Then he bleated about Labor and the Greens staging political stunts

Sen James Patterson evades the question of whether he is aware that some Liberal volunteers are from the Plymouth Brethren Christian sect and are bullying and harassing volunteers from other parties, says “we don’t question our volunteers about their religious affiliations”’

I just saw an interesting opinion about the attractiveness of politicians like Dutton. His followers don’t care that he won’t improve their lives or reduce the cost of living. But they do care that he gives them permission to hate, to be racist, misogynistic, to insult, to punch down

Albo finally showing a little backbone by thumbing his nose at US big pharma and adding a larger subsidy to the PBS list of medications, nothing over $25. There is no point in trying to suck up to the orange loon in the White House

After the LNP pile on of the CFMEU over corruption allegations yesterday and stated intention of putting up a bill to address it, today there is no similar outrage from the LNP over the endemic corruption in the child care sector, Dutton and his LNP syncopaths have kept out of sight

Dutton demands the CFMEU be deregistered (Albo to blame despite the LNP not acting over their 9 years in government) in another union bashing exercise. The BLF was deregistered and simply gave birth to the CFMEU. The master builders and developers are equally to blame for the situation

ABC TV news reports Bruce Lehrmanns commitment for trial for car theft in Tasmania and rehashes his failed defamation action which found he raped Brittany Higgins but fails to mention his alleged rape in Toowoomba which has a hearing on 27th March

That was telling this week when Hanson called a press conference (which only 3 journos attended), made her statements and then asked for questions - just crickets, finally showing her as irrelevant to the political discourse

By the way, I live on the island where the Paladin beach shack (their registered head office) is located when Dutton awarded them the management contract for Manus Island detention centre, no staff or previous experience and no competitive tender process. This is Liberal economic management
