Gateway Furmeet last weekend was an _elevating_ experience! One of the best experiences was another fursuiter coming up to me while we were hanging out and being like, "I love donkeys! Hey, can I try to pick you up?" I of course said yes, and then I ~ascended~!

A donkey fursuiter getting lifted up by a fursuiter about two heads shorter with a bright purple and blue suit.

Tonight I kicked off my annual spooky month of werewolf movies with 1985's Silver Bullet. I had actually never seen this one before, and I thought it was pretty okay. The werewolf design was better than I expected, and the characters had a very King feel.

A checklist of werewolf movies:

The Company of Wolves
Wolf (1994)
Underworld
Dog Soldiers
Wer
Bad Moon
Silver Bullet
Brotherhood of the Wolf
Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf
Wolfen
Good Manners (2017)
My Animal
Howl

I don't know the legal names of the vast majority of people I've met in the past decade. I came to this realization while reflecting on how long it's been since I've met a Phil. Maybe I have just in the past month, but I'll never know.

Sometimes I think it was a mistake to let the programs we use primarily for viewing text and images become complex virtual machines that execute millions of lines of arbitrary code anytime a friend sends a link to a cat picture.

I got a show from the plane as the sun set on another Anthrocon. The con was wonderful, despite the weather. I'm glad I got to meet so many folks in suit, and I'm happy I got to spend time with many fuzzies I hold dear to me. I also loved the mini con we got to have in the airport on the way out.

As LLM corpo-speak becomes more common at my work, I find myself drifting further toward the other end of the spectrum. Instead of messaging my team with: "Hey, can I get a quick review on this code change?" I'll drop: "I yet again yearn for personal and professional validation of my toils."
