Okay, seems like I can't post images for some reason? Checking on two different browsers and the app, they all appear as colored blocks with vertical stripes instead. 😭
I drew this last month; some Mobei Jun and Shang Qinghua for #MoShangWeek2025! #fanart | #svsss | #moshang
I've been considering altering my Patreon for this reason. I really want to work on my personal projects. I started a comic last year and haven't even finished chapter one because of everything else on my plate. I'd also like to work on more novels. I have so many ideas, but so little time. 🫠
I’m glad to see more artists turn away from the overproduction norm of Patreon and Ko-Fi and use the platforms more like tip jars. We’re all so tired already, we shouldn’t have to burn ourselves out even more for a couple extra bucks a month
My hard limit is two weeks. I contact clients after that point, even if it's just to say "hey, I haven't forgotten you." Because I've been there. Waited months with no update from an artist I commissioned, only come to find out that they'd completely forgotten my order. 🫠
I don't understand how some artists can make their clients wait years for a commission. I feel terrible if there's a single day that I don't make progress.
