dr. darksynth + vaporwave trickster #dbdfanart

Herman's design is inspired by the electronic music genre dark synth. He is wearing a black latex trench coat and fedora. A silver brooch with his face on it holds up the toga. A jewel-studded silver belt and silver chains are wrapped around his waist. Blue, teardrop-shaped gems hang from the chains. His pants are also asymmetrically patterned. The right pant leg looks like a roman column, while the left looks like bright blue pool water. He has short, curly, pale blue hair. Silver laurels sit atop his head. He has a necklace made of jewels and silver that looks like a grapevine. His fingers are decorated with many silver rings. Silver body glitter dusts his skin. an electronic music themed ghostface cosmetic concept to compliment my hux! #dbdfanart

A digitally drawn cosmetic concept design for the character Danny "Jed Olsen" Johnson, otherwise known as "the Ghostface," from the video game Dead by Daylight.

This cosmetic concept is a bonus continuation of a synthwave inspired cosmetic concept the artist drew for The Singularity. It is inspired by the electronic music subgenre "darkstep."

The design features Ghostface wearing a black leather jacket that is opened at the front. It has a wide collar decorated with spiky silver studs. The inner lining of the jacket is neon green. White lines run down the length of the jacket's arms, mimicking the appearance of circuitry.
Ghostface's hood is coloured similarly to his jacket, with the inner lining also being neon green. He is also wearing a black, skin-tight crop top, and baggy black pants.
High up and around his waist, several belts hold up a black waist cape. The belts are studded with silver eyelets and silver stars. More of the white circuitry pattern decorates the waist cape, as well as his chunky black boots.
In his right hand, Ghostface holds a jagged silver blade. The hilt is made from a green glow stick, and decorated with silver cyber sigils. Neon green glow stick fluid is spattered on the blade.
Ghostface's iconic mask is made of interconnecting pieces of silver metal instead of its usual white plastic. Tiny neon green lights illuminate parts of the mask.

To the right of this design, there are two bonus variations of it included on the page. The first swaps out Ghostface's baggy black pants and replaces them with a short black skirt. His legs are covered by black fishnet stockings, black knee-high stockings, and several leather garter belts.
The second variation is the same as the previous, except the knee-high socks have been removed, and Ghostface's top has been replaced by shiny, black X-shaped pasties.

My submission for DBD's cosmetic contest this year- OUTRUN, or The Synthularity, inspired by the synthwave subgenre of the same name. #dbdfanart

On the right side of the page, there is a full body illustration of Hux facing forward. In the top left corner, there is a full body illustration depicting the back of Hux's body. Underneath the canon arm, there is a legend identifying the different materials that make up his various body parts.

The cosmetic incorporates aesthetics associated with the electronic music genre known as "synthwave," with specific focus given to imagery from the subgenre, "outrun."
Hux's head resembles a race car helmet. It is black and decorated with silver cyber sigilism.

His left arm, the one with the biopod canon, is raised in front of his body and bent at the elbow.
This positions the mouth of Hux's canon in front of his pelvic region, which would otherwise be at the centre of the page were it not for the canon covering it.
Positioning Hux this way was a deliberate choice made so that the long, smooth, magenta-coloured tongue hanging out of his biopod canon's mouth could serve as a visual metaphor for a phallus. The tongue is also coated with saliva.

Above the canon, the viewer can see that Hux's eyes are fixed intently on them. Saliva also drips from his fang-filled mouth.

The illustration is coloured in many different shades of pastel indigo, violet, lavender, pink, magenta, and cyan. Shadows are depicted using slightly darker, and more saturated colours. Light areas maintain a pastel palette, although the most intense highlights are depicted using light colours with very little saturation.

The background is coloured using a simple gradient. Lavender covers the top of the page, and transitions into magenta at the bottom of the page.

okay, today is my birthday, so I will share a wip for the occasion, but I'll post the full drawing tomorrow because I (unsurprisingly) ended up adding way more characters than I originally intended to lol.

It's that time of the year again! #rottmnt

A bat is held in either man's right hand. However, it is not their own bat that each man holds. Herman is holding Ji woon's bat, while Ji woon hold's Herman's. Blood drips off the length of each bat and onto the floor. This is an intentional visual metaphor for reciprocated phallic stimulation, suggesting the men view one another as equals.

He is given a tongue, but it is long and looks like a centipede.
Various plants from the Toba Landing map grow from Hux's left shoulder, his left arm, and his legs.

His scythe resembles the long forelegs of a praying mantis. It is also covered in fleshing webbing and vines.

The alien crystal that rendered him sentient is fixed to his right shoulder.
A hornet like thorax extends from his rear end, and long, striped leaves hang from his back like insect wings.

A neon pink tube winds down the front of Hux's torso like intestines. The end of this tube hands from his body, splashing pink fluid around with Hux's movement.

Around Hux is a simple, cartoonish depiction of the vines and grass found on the Toba Landing Map.

Ghostface is drawn wearing his leather cowl and leather bat-shaped underwear. His cowl is strapped to his body by belts that run diagonally down his chest. Similar belts are wound around his waist. The top portion of his bat-shaped underwear extends up to just below his ribs. However, this upper part is made out of a black fishnet material, and not leather. Over top the underwear, he wears a black leather belt garter, which is attached to tight black stockings worn on his legs. A spiked, silver piercing is fixed through either of his nipples.

Ghostface is drawn laying on his back in a pose reminiscent of pin-up art. His right arm is draped over his torso, while his left arm is bent upward at the elbow. In his left hand is his buck knife. The knife is pointed down toward his torso, the tip dragging across the skin of his chest. A bit of blood beads from where the knife point meets his skin.

Covering his crotch region is a VHS tape. The black film ribbon is spilling out of the tape, resting in tangles around Ghostface's legs. More VHS tapes with their film ribbon's pulled out of them sit beside Ghostface's head.

A bright blue light reflects off of the upper half of Ghostface's body, so the upper portion of the illustration is coloured primarily in shades of blue, indigo, and violet. The light is reminiscent of that which an old television might emit.

A bright red light appears to emanate from somewhere below Ghosface, casting the lower half of his body in shades of red, orange, pink, and violet. As a result of "difference" mode layers used by the artist, the shadows in this area appear yellowish-green, giving the red lighting an eerie, hellish look.

mermel and rosemel <3 #arcane
