Another way of rephrasing the paradox of tolerance is that we can't have an agreement to disagree if the disagreement is over whether one side is free to continue existing or participating in things like society and civil disagreements without being exiled or discriminated against.

It should also be a bigger story because the most reasonable alternative explanation is “the president has a functional nursemaid with him at all times because he can no longer competently make it through his days on his own.”
