The fact someone can commit sexual assault and be punished in a discrete manner so as not to “ruin their life” and then years later become a popular entity in media, causing even more trauma when the assault is revealed? If the initial punishment didn’t favor the assaulter, this’d be less common.
Hey guys, just a gentle note. If you have to tell us that the reason you're upset is because you have a mom, sister, girlfriend, wife, daughter, you're missing the point. Empathy shouldn't exist in a vacuum where you have to know someone. You shouldn't have to have a sister to speak up for women.
'She's someone's sister/daughter/mother/cousin/auntie/midlane/offtank/etc' No proximity-to-masculinity qualifier needed, babes. She's someone. And that's enough. If you start thinking of women as actual people, you won't struggle with this anymore. Give it a shot.
