Who won the men's singles championship at the U.S. Open 100 years ago? That's right, it was Rene Lacoste, who defeated Jean Borotra in straight sets in the 1926 U.S. National Championships. Lacoste won the following year as well, beating Bill Tilden in straight sets.

In addition to bunting cards, I also collect vintage tennis cards, with a focus on RCs or 1st appearances of HOFers. After keeping an eye out, I recently got a good deal on this Rene Lacoste 1926 Lambert & Butler Who’s Who in Sport- his first appearance on a card according to TCDB. #cardsky

My collection of cards depicting bunters is now at 984. Using this old post as a useful guide, I see that I've collected 620 cards depicting bunters over the past 21 months. That averages out to about 30 cards per month, or about one card per day. #cardsky

36 new bunters from @imomitch.bsky.social's latest stack sale over on the other app arrived in the mail! I just added these to TCDB and realized that I'm at 984 bunting cards - just 16 cards shy of 1,000. #cardsky
