82 years ago, American soldiers stormed Normandy. They came home to a country still learning how to care for them. Today, the Amie Muller Research Programs make sure post-9/11 veterans don't wait 30 years for their wounds to be recognized. 🔗 bit.ly/3vneWg4

Memorial Day is for the fallen. And for the families carrying the weight of sacrifice. Today, Burn Pits 360 honors every veteran and family who trusted us with their story. Because the cost of war did not end overseas. We will continue to stand firewatch. 🇺🇸
🌺 National Poppy Day. From Flanders to Fallujah, we remember. Many veterans we serve came home — but the war came home with them. Toxic exposure. Chronic illness. Invisible wounds. Wear a poppy. Give if you can. 🔗 bit.ly/3vneWg4 Learn more about @AmericanLegion: bit.ly/3RmmtL5
National Poppy Day®
The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. It reminds Americans of the sacrifices made by our veterans while protecting our freedoms. The American Legion Family brought National Poppy Day® to the United States by asking Congress to designate the Friday before Memorial Day, as National Poppy Day. On this special date, wear a red poppy to honor the fallen and support the living who have worn our nation’s uniform. Led by the American Legion Auxiliary, each year members of The American Legion Family distribute poppies with a request that the person receiving the flower make a donation to support the future of veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families with medical and financial needs. Before the PACT Act. Before the registry. There was Capt. Le Roy Torres. 23 years Army. One deployment to Balad. A toxic legacy that built a movement. We're kicking off 30 days of stories, science, and the work still ahead. Walk with us. 🔗 bit.ly/3vneWg4
Open-air burn pits the size of football fields. Jet fuel. Medical waste. Munitions. Burned 24/7 next to our troops. We run the only INDEPENDENT registry — including names of warriors who died from toxic exposure. Be counted. 🔗 bit.ly/3vneWg4
Burn Pits 360, led by Le Roy Torres, was proud to be represented at Leader Hakeem Jeffries’s VSO Roundtable, ensuring toxic-exposed veterans’ voices remain front and center in the fight for care, accountability, and earned benefits.
