The inaugural Burren Archaeology Festival took place over the weekend. We had an exceptional turnout and the response to experts, speakers, and demonstrators was fantastic. Thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make the event possible. See you in 2026!

Wonderful to see the impact our Hare's Corner programme is having in Miltown Malbay 💚 The Hare’s Corner is a Burrenbeo Trust initiative designed to help landowners make more space for nature. Made with the support of Clare County Council Local Biodiversity Action Fund. #theharescorner

For thousands of years, Burren farmers have herded their cattle onto ‘winterage’ pastures in the limestone uplands where they spend the winter grazing. This ancient ‘transhumance’ tradition is synonymous with the Burren and is key to the survival of the region’s famous flora and fauna.
