Videogame #21 for 2026 is The Red Pearls of Borneo (2026), by @bushmonkey.bsky.social. An absolute delight - a deduction mystery that's as good as any out there with a satisfying puzzle that's evocatively written. And it's free! Recommended to anyone who likes deduction.

the demo for a sequel to this one just dropped the other day, Green Mist Over Portland bushmonkey.itch.io/green-mist-o... looks cool so far! a really wild ambitious upscale of the first game with a story that has its hooks in me already. looking forward to it, hope it lives up to those big swings!

14. THE RED PEARLS OF BORNEO (2026) another incredibly solid, lengthy deduction mystery! clearly owes a lot to Type Help but used that against me to go in some directions I didn't expect, and the mechanic of strafing through the timeline at-will makes it feel fresh. could make a great series!
