I feel like all VAR has done has let FIFA bake in an extra layer of corruption.

Man, they had 2 chances the entire game and converted on both of them. Oh well. Hey, helluva tourney for Canada. Proud of their effort.
I believe I heard that Morocco was a massive favourite over us and 6 in the world. I didn’t see that. Good half for Canada.
I looked at capfriendly just for a ballpark look at the Habs. At the end of the 2027 season, Habs are projected to have $39 million in cap space with their core signed. Kapanen and Newhook will be RFA's, Anderson, Danault, Montembeault. Carrier and Dach will be UFA's A masterclass by Hughes.
How does Hughes do this ? Another excellent contract for the cap as Dobes extends for 3 years for about 5.3 each year. Terrific contract for the team and for Dobes who should be proud of what he earned.
Enjoying the summer but I am hearing that Hage looks fantastic at development camp. You got to stand out at a rookie camp or you’re not the real deal. Not my words. Glen Sather’s.
How did we all feel about that? That penalty at 120, to me, was highly suspect.
8 to 73.2 may sound like a lot to people not really following the cap increases. This is an amazing number for the Canadiens. Demidov is locked for 8 years for a contract average that is already competitive; never mind what eight years of inflation brings. Terrific again from Hughes.
Canadiens made a qualifying offer to Dach for 4 million. Wasn’t sure they would. They did not make an offer to Veleno.
Canada in the round of 16 at the World Cup. Wow. When I was growing up we didn’t make the round of 256. This is wonderful
With the 26th overall pick in the NHL Draft: The Habs select 6’3, Russian winger Gleb Pugachyov from the KHL 🇷🇺
I like the pick of Pugachyov for the Habs . Only two available players were ranked higher on my list: Ignativicius and Cali and neither were picked yet . I think fans will like him. He won’t produce a ton of points but he will lead his teammates to the battle. He’s fierce
I like this pick for the Habs. I didn’t follow the draft much this year as the Habs deep run made it impossible. But this Gleb Pugachyov is the right type of player. He’s called a Russian Tom Wilson. Runs people over. Piles on hits. Good skills. Huge frame. It’s the right type of add. Well done.
Wow. Ecuador. That’s what it’s all about, Folks. The emotions. The love of the sport. It’s everything.
This is going to sound quite strange at first. But I think this - The Habs are in a difficult spot here. They want to strengthen the club, of course, but how does a guy come in, get 12-13 million, score 15 less than Caufield actually work? It can’t. Cole feels it, the new guy feels it. It’s bad.
Look at the NBA getting the calls right. It’s a beautiful sight.
Okay, that is interference because the puck goes free because he hits the pad to make it go free. In the crease. Honestly, it’s all vibe. They don’t even have a rule book.
Oh that’s not goaltender interference lol
How much pain can Leafs fans endure. Marner can’t get it going for years in the playoffs then he leaves and he wins the Conn Smythe. Gawd.
That your friends and neighbours season finale was outstanding. Now let’s see how the … Oh 4 goals on 16 shots.
Oh Torts got a conversation Isn’t that interesting. MSL got ignored. Interesting
There are no standards in hockey. Just vibes.
I know a hockey team last week that that was called the other way. Interesting STANDARDS
Last year & just about every year in the last 8, Hurricanes got beat with heavy hockey. Last season, the Panthers demolished them in 5 games pounding them into submission. Canadiens played heavy hockey for 2 series and then they were out of gas. Carolina saw no heavy from the Habs. They are now.
I know a hockey team last week that that was called the other way. Interesting STANDARDS
Alright let's see how the hockey is going in game two …. So the Carolina goalie has an .818 does he.... Oh good for him. Better than game one.
Wow. It just occurred to me that no one under 40 has a memory of a Canadian team winning a Stanley Cup. That’s kind of insane.
