Commiserating with the friend that got me into this #fpl mess. He’s not doing quite as poorly as I am though. I really did think I was cooking… Every single other defender I considered smoked these fish. But Arsenal looked good so all is fine in football.
A wise person places their attention on the positives. So I’m focusing on Mbeumo blanking as I nervously removed him from my squad at the last min. And very grateful I BB so I could get 1 pt each from Shaw and JPVH bc they outscored 2 of my starters (Thiago/Ballard) A wise person is delusional.

6:59 am out here in New Mexico and I just woke up. Turned on the Hull Man U game as soon as my eyes opened. 🤣🤣 What a perfect way to start a season. This right here is quintessential FPL. BB Maguire and Shaw, cap Bruno… all you can do is laugh at the chaos and make yourself a nice pot of coffee.

Phew! I was so busy multitasking that the deadline came and went without me realizing it. So I didn't get to do my normal last-minute "idiot walk" to confirm everything was set up properly. Was mostly worried I hadn't hit the BB button but wouldn't have been shocked to see the wrong squad, either.
"Think long, think wrong" is the theme for my #fpl start. Embraced impulsivity and went w/ the one structure I hadn't considered yet. No Haaland, but will be starting 3 fwds. Also dropped Bryan "ThiccBoi" Mbeumo who was in all my drafts and always kills me. As the saying goes: No butts, so glory.
Should probably get serious about figuring out which structure I'm starting off with. Still might just randomize between Haaland or no Haaland but maybe Sam can help me get there "on my own". Currently don't have the big dude in there.
