RIP to all the custom image caching code I wrote because AsyncImage couldn't cache images.
A simple framework: Use Meta to discover what people actually want. Use ASA to capture buyers actively searching. Use ASO to compound organic growth over time. Different channels. Different jobs.
Too many indie developers worry about how many apps are published to the App Store each day. Wrong problem. The App Store is a distribution mechanism. It's no longer a discovery tool. Growth comes from marketing outside the App Store, not from being listed inside it.
Making apps is like making music, you release album after album hoping 1 or 2 become hits.
Sometimes you have to accept the fact that the next feature probably won’t save your app. You can’t feature your way into higher MRR.
When life is devoid of problems, our mind quickly sets about inventing new ones. - Jose Marti
Even when people can cook, they still order in or go to restaurants. AI giving everyone the ability to design or code doesn’t replace designers or developers. It just raises the bar for what good looks like.

It doesn’t make sense to continue wanting something if you’re not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don’t want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process, is to guarantee disappointment. James Clear
Xcode 26.4 RC is out, and Finally fixes this issue.
In 2026, building the app isn’t the hard part. The real bottlenecks are: • Distribution • Attention • Trust Code is cheap. Attention is expensive. Trust is everything.

We used to worry about finding the right answers. Now, with AI, the real challenge is knowing how to ask the right questions.

A flat App launch isn’t the end. it’s just data. You can relaunch as many times as you need. Polish, update, tweak your marketing, and try again.
In the era of AI, the greatest skill you can master isn’t just learning faster it’s reducing the time between idea and execution.
Moved my icon over to Icon Composer today. Took a few hours, but worth it. Convert your current icon into SVG layers (btn 1–4), then experiment in Icon Composer until you find a combo that actually works. #buildInPublic #iOSDev #swiftui
