I recently had an exchange with Sam and Grant where I asked if they ever mixed up the 1990s slowcore band Codeine with the 1990s saxophone-indie band Morphine, as I often do, and they both answered, emphatically, “No,” and that I should leave them alone. Starting to understand why the pod got got.

all i know is that @bymccullough.bsky.social was the one who told me about both Goose *and* Geese, and i'm 100 percent certain that Andy's whole deal is a psyop. so take that into consideration, even if the industry has always been set up this way (Andy texting you about bands he likes)

Pure speculation but I'd bet we're going to find out the Padres put a "only in save situations" clause on Miller, and Team USA didn't think to clarify "or in a tie game at home, where no save situation is possible, obviously, right"

Thanks to the listeners who have followed along with Grant and I these past four years. The Roundtable will not be back in 2026, and we won’t be able to do the show elsewhere. A bummer, in part because I just had so much fun talking to Grant and Sam twice a week. I’m going to miss that a great deal.

Our status has regretfully shifted to "it's complicated." The Athletic will not be bringing The Roundtable back, and we are asking for permission to yammer about baseball somewhere else. The three of us still want to do it, but ... well, it's complicated.
