Based on multiple requests from our beta testers, we are reworking the font management. You will be able to choose from any font in your system while your Byte Binding projects will stay fully self-contained so you can edit them anywhere.

Preflight checks are coming to the next version of Byte Binding. These will validate your book's metadata, manuscript mistakes, missing accessibility attributes, and other issues so the exported EPUB provides an uncompromising experience for your readers.

In the next version of Byte Binding, we are adding the page/section types for proper accessibility and rendering across e-readers.

From the rich style preview to improved focus management, revamped font import workflow, and dozens of smaller enhancements, the work on Byte Binding is in full swing.

Small changes with big impact: the font subfamily select now always opens downward so the chosen typeface is remains visible, contextualizing your changes.

Improving the Typeface selection so you can easily import new fonts without ever leaving the style you're creating/editing. Adding some accessibility improvements around focus management while at it as well.

Working on the improved style preview to let you see your changes live while editing that style. Here's a drop caps style as an example.
