LLMs using em-dashes (—) feels like a double-edged sword. On one hand it does something other punctuation can't quite replicate. On the other — well, now you can't read an em-dash without wondering if a robot wrote it.

This is my favorite climate change chart. Japanese monks, aristocrats, and emperors kept meticulous records of cherry blossom festivals for 1,200 years and accidentally built the world's longest climate dataset.
