Youtube by now should know I speak English/Portuguese, but it insists on translating title/audio both ways for contents in this language. Then I watch a video in French and it doesn't do any: offer subtitles or translate the audio. 🤦‍♂️

Feature detect Apple Pay: is this attribute in the `window` object? Feature detect Google Pay: here is a script and a 3 part code snippet that you need to run at appropriate time. 🙈

I got the base Mac mini for web development and not sure if 16gb is enough for my workflow, 24gb ($250 CAD extra) could be. Noticing some swapping with light usage (IDE+browser)

The new mac mini is great value for money, yes, however Apple did the same for the M1 macbook air, once people got the reasonably priced sample future releases were more expensive.

I tend to fear updating the OS or homebrew because my postgres always break and there goes half-hour inspecting why, is it a stale lock file, is it some open ssl version mismatch, what else? 😭

I recently changed my email in Google Workspace to see how much problem this would get me. ~25% of the vendors are unable to detect I have a new email and let me in. Support must be contacted. 75% just work as expected. This is good but not good enough for people that change names for many reasons.

I believe there is life after React, Phoenix LiveView feels easy, light and refreshing. I recently did a whole side project and it felt I wrote little code and achieve a fully working app.
