On Wednesday, @casuperintendent.bsky.social hosted a virtual summit to address the critical needs of unaccompanied homeless youth. Hundreds of educators, homelessness providers, advocates, policy leaders, and community stakeholders discussed the urgent issue of youth homelessness in CA communities.
The CDE invites districts and schools to participate in civic engagement opportunities during the 2026–27 school year. High School Voter Education Weeks will take place Monday, September 14, through Friday, September 25, 2026.

Today, staff from the CDE Bus Driver Training facility in West Sacramento gave our summer intern cohort a tour of the facility, classrooms, and an ADA-compliant school bus. We rigorously train our bus drivers to maintain programs and ensure students arrive safely at school. 🚌
