Today during our Trout in the Classroom macroinvertebrate sampling we had something very cool happen. Dozens of tiny BWOs emerged right in our sample bins! It was great to be able to show the students this happening in realtime.
Took some water samples today for eDNA testing. Saw some bloodroot and Jack in the Pulpit.
Charlie loves playing with our friends' cat, and they invited us over for dinner tomorrow, so I took a break from tying striped bass flies to tie a hookless cat toy on a swivel clip. I call it "Maisie's Deceiver." #flytying

Video tip: If you need portrait orientation/9:16 phone video, choose New > App Preview in iMovie. I'm glad that works, but it is wild that we need to use workarounds in Apple's pre-installed video editing app to edit videos from iPhones in their standard orientation.
My TU contact said this stream was on the list for eDNA testing to find brook trout presence, but my photo confirmation allows them to skip that and move to the next step in the conservation process! 🎉
